please help. i try to install opensuse 11.0 (32bit and 64bit ) on my 4530. but both of them always hang on loading Atheros driver. any idea? thx.
At bot there are several boot options you could try
Press F1 for help
ACPI disabled might be worth a try
or if all else fails
If the graphical boot menu doesn’t show or freezes, try press and hold Shift on the keyboard when booting the installation media. This starts the text-mode boot menu instead.
thx for your help. but it is still error. my laptop still hang in progress of installation.(in loading atheros wireless driver)
Did you actuall get in to a text mode install??
Can you get to this point on the default install??? Installation/11.0 DVD Install - openSUSE
If so un-check automatic configuration. And try and continue.

no i cannot get that. it was error on loading Atheros driver. when i choose installation, the loading kernel. the error occur before entering to installation zone
Did you actually try: “press and hold Shift on the keyboard when booting”??
Also worth seeing how the live cd responds. Download it and see.
