Erratic Internet

In my live CD boot of openSUSE (KDE 4) I found the little globe icon near the bottom left corner of the screen that handles networks. I’m having a rather strange problem though.

I right-click the globe icon, click “Edit Connections”, then click the “New Connection” button (I picked a wireless type). I typed in the name of my wireless LAN network in the “Essid:” field, and then typed in my WPA Personal key, and pressed “Connect and Save.”

Everything went well, and it said the connection was “Activated.”

However, the actual internet in Firefox acts very erratic. Sometimes it can connect to it’s homepage (opensuse.org) and everything is in plain text on the page, and sometimes it connects normally. And sometimes it can’t connect to anything. Once, it connected to opensuse.org and Google worked fine but when I searched something and tried to click one of the result links, I got a “Address Not Found” error in Firefox.

So basically, it’s acting really weird, lol. Anybody have any idea what’s going on? :shame:

Use the search engine of your own choice and search for “disable ipv6 Firefox”.

Thank you, I will see how it works!
