Equalizer in Amarok

Hello everybody

Few days ago I installed Opensuse 11.2 and update the system to KDE 4.3.3. All perfect but Amarok doesn’t have the equalizer!!! The menu is here but is disable, look at the screenshot

Does any have any idea?

Thanks

Which amarok version?

ANSWER: The equalizer depends on the new phonon. If you install phonon from ‘git’, it does work, but breaks other things, like kaffeine and digikam; they crash on phonon errors.
From KDE4 4.4 all this will be fully supported.

The version is 2.2.1 with KDE 4.3.3, and I didn’t install from git. I just add the repo por KDE43.

Thanks

It still looks like KDE4 is Knot quite ready for prime time. I can
wait.

I know what you mean  in kde 3.5 amarok had a nice equalizer, but since kde 4 its gone…but you get much less processor time used

if you add the factory unstable repo to yast:-

Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/UNSTABLE:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.2

then just select phonon

it will also d/l some updated libqt packages

you will get the equaliser on amarok

then just disable or remove the factory repo from yast
