since OpenSUSE 11.0 every print is moved to the upper left corner (x -3 mm, y -7 mm) and at the bottom are 25 mm missing regardless the border size I choose.
It doesn’t matter which program I use (gimp, openoffice, kmail) the result is always the same. I tried the printer settings: with border and borderless without any change. I have to use the crop option to preserve the dimension. So I’m not able to place a print into a given form.
Is there still any place to adjust something or is this a bug in the printer driver?
You will be intrigued to hear this problem with your particular printer was first mentioned four years ago on Suse;
Epson Stylus C84 - openSUSE Forums
which printer driver do you use for your C84?
I see openprinting
OpenPrinting database - Printer: Epson Stylus C84
says your printer works “mostly” and they advise gutenprint
I can’t offer particular advice
there are various 2004 posts about this
I use this printer since several years and I didn’t have this problem with earlier SUSE versions.
I always used the standard installation.
The actual driver is Gutenprint 5.0.2 and 5.0.2 simplified.
Is there a different driver available?
I think Gimp-print is replaced by Gutenprint.
I can’t give specific advice on this problem that you report only occurs with 11.0
the latest gutenprint is said to be 5.2.2
The information currently here corresponds to driver version 5.2.2.

when 11.1 comes out; and has “settled in”, you might try a live CD or live DVD of that, to see if it can configure your Epson in a better way for you
