Endless repeated reinstallg of three patches openSUSE-Leap-16.0-112 / 113 / 116

since roughly one week, opensuse wants me to update the above mentioned patches again and again. Doesn’t matter, how often I install them. They come up again after the next reboot. I should mention, that I activated the install on next boot option

I’m not having that problem. But then I did not use “install on next boot”. I installed with:

zypper patch --with-update

Maybe something is broken with the install on next boot option.

after deactivating the “next boot” option, it first still tried (in vain) to install after next boot (the progress indicator was stuck at 0%, than the computer restarted, and the patches were still in discover, but this time as three single patches, not one combined, like before). But after that, the direct installation worked and the patches don’t show up anymore.

Show your repos, please: zypper lr -d

I had the same problem 2 times and it was solved with:
zypper up
and careful reading what it will be updated before allowing update to proceed.
I like:
zypper patch --with-update
it automatically checks for conflicts.

My repos are standard Leap 16.0, plus google-chrome repo that was added after installing browser.

triessner found workaround, but I’m interested to see this solved.

In the past versions of openSUSE problem was that message to reboot computer (with button"reboot") came too early, and if user would instantly click button to reboot, patch process will sometimes fail. I think it happened more often when one of updates was kernel, but, to be honest, I never checked. I opted for lazy option, wait longer, or when I see kernel update in the list, just go with zypper up, read output and if there were no conflicts, go and update.

I found that Settings has 3 dots in top right corner and there is:

@rmatov900 sorry, I have german language activated and translated poorly. I deed, I meant the option “After rebooting”
