Hi,
I strongly suggest you keep running the thread you already started. It’ll not help you opening more threads on the same problem.

i installed a firmware named iwl6000-ucode as the instructions given by the guide.what to do next?
It also not working waiting for help.
It look like it should work
Have you even tried to configure a connection. Do you actually know how to do it.
hey i can’t tick in enable wireless.so only i asked this to you.
In Yast > Network Devices > Network Settings
Are you set to use Network Manager or ifup?
Sometimes people use ifup if Network Manager doesn’t work well.
i think my problem is being solved.when i open network settings i get the following error
Network is currently controlled by NetworkManager and its settings
cannot be edited by YaST.
To edit the settings, use NetworkManager connection editor, or
switch the network setup method to Traditional method with ifup.
i saw intel wlan controller under overview.ndiswrapper install is also success.what to do next?
You shouldn’t even need ndiswrapper
This
Network is currently controlled by NetworkManager and its settings
cannot be edited by YaST.
To edit the settings, use NetworkManager connection editor, or
switch the network setup method to Traditional method with ifup.
Is normal
Try switching to ifup and edit the settings for a wireless connection. But I think you are going to struggle understanding it.
Met some wifi issue yesterday, which should be considered in all wireless threads IMHO: the return of the WiFi hardware switch…The user spent hours to get it working, it appeared he had to activate the wireless by a keyboard combination…Funny thing was that all ouput was OK, but plasmoid-networkmanagement and nm-applet showed no wireless. When we pressed the Fn key and it’s WiFi matching F-key, a green led turned on, wireless was immediately available.
I understood what you said.can you tell now can i connect to a wireless network without using ndiswrapper?even now also wireless is not configured correctly because i can’t enable wireless in(can’t make a tick in enable wireless)networking.if i go to ifup i can’t connect to mobile broadband.(wireless is my secondary connection only)so any chance to do with it with network manager.
my wireless button is alwaysbe on.
waiting for a solution guys.
I’m not sure we can help you much more.
You seem to be struggling comprehending us.
Please try something. Boot a live CD of openSUSE Gnome edition 11.4
Does your wireless work in the Live CD?
i can’t have a live cd.i have only a full 4.7dvd.but wireless is working on linux mint and ubuntu live cd.
Yes, I figured that you had the DVD
But could you download a CD and try it or not?
If Ubuntu is working from a Live CD, then I should expect the same from openSUSE.
If it does, I at least know you have probably just made a complete mess of your installation of openSUSE.
One thing you could try, is a new user login.
I also suggest you use gnome, at least for the time being
You’re right, but if you want attention, just post on your first thread instead of opening another on the same subject…
i want to got it work so that i post 2 thread.i post the past thread under laptop.but this is wireless category so that.
