however, i have 1 issue, i am not able to enable my wusb 600n linksys usb adapter.

opensuse recignizes the adapter, but i can not check the ; activate wireless interface; box

Is this on a PC with a usb wifi adapter? Then networking may be set to using “ifup” instead of networkmanager. You can check this in Yast - Network - Networksettings, in the global options. If it’s set to ifup, you have two options: either change it to networkmanager controlled, or edit the settings of the card, i.e. tell it to which router to connect, provide passphrase and so on.

Hello there

you need to be a bit more descriptive about both your machine and your problem. What kind of DE you are using for example.

Anyways, I am assuming you use KDE, and you are talking about the Network Manager widget found on your tray. One important thing to make sure before anything else, if that you have disabled traditional ifup and enabled the Network Manager. To check that out, go to YaST > Network Settings > Global Options > Network Setup Method > User Controlled with NetworkManager.

If you have that already selected, then you have to provide some more information about your problem, so others can help you.
