The article speaks about “openSUSE 11.2 Emerald furnished with Gnome”. What does that mean ? what is Emerald and how can I get it, if I am not already running it ?
Thanks,so this is not the deafult decorator. I understand I have to go to the command line, do emerald --replace, enable the windows decoration plugin, then find the Emerald settings ?
Microsoft Windows is like air conditioning
Stops working when you open a window.

You also must be running compiz. In general, I still consider
running compiz to be an advanced thing.
With that said, I prefer compiz to native KDE4 composite features.
There are pages on the wiki with regards to compiz, but I don’t
think I’ve ever been able to get things to work using any of the
plethora of instructions there (but that could be due to other
things I’m doing).
The desktop (ultimately) I’m on right now is running compiz
with KDE 4.2.4 on openSUSE 11.1 (using the kwin decorator).
yes, I am running compiz and have enabled some effects. So I am running a kind of non-Emerald Gnome-Compiz combination of window manager system ? Just my guess
