Hi everyone,
I was wondering what is happening with emerald-compiz in openSUSE ? I went to openSUSE download and all the packages for emerald-compiz aren’t available. Are they still maintained ?

I don’t use compiz, but maybe this thread will help?
openSUSE 11.3 KDE 4.5.0+compiz question
Software search shows:
Hi deano_ferrari,
I did this search. The problem is if you click on any of these links, they simply don’t work. The repo X11:XGL/openSUSE_11.3 doesn’t exist anymore. I don’t know whom we must inform for this.
Thanks for the above link, it seems that someone is maintaining compiz-emerald. How come compiz-emerald is not maintained officially in the distribution ? Is there a problem or what ?
Of course, you’re right. Try this repo instead:
Index of /repositories/home:/lOtz1009:/emerald/openSUSE_11.3

use it, or compile yourself
emerald’s code is way too old.
fwiw it’s not working on 11.4 (at least i’m not able to build it on
factory so far).
many of its used gtk-functions are deprecated.
best would be that the whole code would be changed.
