Have used Easytag forever… but not for a while.
So run easytag fine, config CDDB to use gnudb.gnudb.org , point it to directory with relevant files, select all the files in directory, click CDDB search, and search using selected files, comes back with results, but then when I select one of the albums to get the songs for, the application crashes…
Anyone found this, and worked out a fix/way around?
And, as per the title, are there any ‘good’ tag editors available?
Thanks.

Can you start it from Konsole and then paste the output in here.

Ideally you should get the core dump and debug the issue, or create a bug report for this.
I can not reproduce it either on my machine so it seems something is off on your machine.
Can you run
strace -f -o easytag_crash.log easytag
and share the output file via susepaste ?

You could have a look at MusicBrainz Picard which is available on openSUSE.

I’ve been using kid3 for years, now.
I also use Picard. The GUI doesn’t look great but it works very well . In the KDE world there is kid3 which also gets data from Musicbrainz.
Another vote for Kid3 here.

Adding my vote for Kid3, with a caveat, Easytag is best if you want to change album covers.
