Hello!
I’d like to know if there is an Ease of Access Center (like in Windows) on OpenSuse. Or if it isn’t … if there is some free software to install on OpenSuse.
I’d like to know if I can find a Narrator, Magnifier, On screen keyboard and how to set up high contrast.
Thanks,
Ionut
Which desktop environment are you using? For KDE, have a look here:
KDE Wiki : KDE for Partially Sighted Users
You’re correct though, it could be made a lot easier.
KDE4 has a desktop screen magnifier. It can be started via menu (utilites > desktop > screen magnifier) or kmag from command prompt.
There is kvkbd virtual keyboard app. I located a package for it via webpin search. (Please note I searched for openSUSE 11.0 package).
Thanks a lot for the informations!
What about a narrator program?
I’m using KDE.
For KDE4, there is a text-to-speech app called KTTS. Install the kde4-kttsd package.
