E-mail announcements are in unrecognized encoding

My forum settings are set to Russian, and the forum displayed OK, but the e-mail notifications I receive encoded in some crypto-cipher. The mail program cannot display them neither if to set UTF-8 nor KOI-8 nor Windows-1251.

Even the heuristic de-cipherer Schtirlitz cannot determine what the **** this forum sends.

Our objective was to create the language specific forums and we
honestly haven’t given any thought to email subscription encoding.
I’ll put it on the list of things to look at. Thanks.
