3.4.6-2.10-deskto
x86_64 kde
dvdstyler 2.1 from packman
nvidia driver 304.43
Problem: unable to make a menu. If I use either the templates or add text, the characters are not written like the field is too small. If I move the frame with the characters there is a screen corruption where the characters that you can see leave a trail on the screen.
Info:
if I do not create menus the iso file is written and works OK
In the same machine, opensuse 12.1 has not problems with the same dvdstyler version.
Within 12.2 where I have the problem, I created a VM with opensuse 12.2 using vmware workstation. The problem is the same. I also created another vm but I installed ubuntu 12.x and in this case dvdstyler works as it should so it is not a video driver problem.
Q. where should I look? which is the library that controls the menu creation display? Anybody running opensuse 12.2 had this type of problem with dvdsyter?
i have the same problem and have not found a solution to this. i check after each update to dvdstyler hoping that it’s fixed but it never is. i haven’t been able to make a dvd since 12.2 came out.

same?
same 1: do not create menus the iso file is written and works OK?
same 2: opensuse 12.1 has not problems with the same dvdstyler version?
same 3: works ok in Ubuntu in VM but not in openSUSE in VM?

i just checked bugzilla and see that neither of you, nor anyone else has
logged a bug…i’d say one of you needs to do that, and the other add
what info you can about your hardware or software mix that might be
causing the corner case bug…
when you have a bug number please return and write it into this
thread…that way any one else who has those problems with dvdstyler on
12.2 can add to the bug and all can follow the progress of the fix–and,
maybe get to test the newly fixed software…
otherwise, it might 13.3 before anyone else notices it is broken (on
openSUSE, and not Ubuntu)
first time i’ve been back here in a while. are you having any luck getting it packaged? i’ve been using a compiled 2.3.5 but had to use libwx net compatibility containers. it could have been a configuration error. i still have the text truncating problem but i can build a dvd with menus now.

I prepared update for packages ~2 weeks ago but just forgot to submit
request to Packman Multimedia repository. I did it already. It should be
there soon Sorry for troubles.
