DVD will not work with OpenSuSE 11.1

I upgraded my OpenSuSE 11.0 to 11.1 and it takes a long time to boot and the DVD-ROM will no longer work.
I get continously the next error-message.

The DVD-ROM is from TEAC Model DV28EV (IDE).
Can anybody help me with this problem??
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums.

AFAICS something went wrong during upgrade. I suggest you perform a clean install of openSUSE 11.2

DVD is working again. Thanks for your help.
But no I have the next problem. My be you can help me:
I’m working for some years with a simulation program for mechanical systems called “ADAMS”.
It worked with OpenSuSE 10.2/11.0/11.1.
But now I get an error and the Vendor of the software can not help be, because they only support RHLinux.

Installation of the software is done without any problem, I can load a model, but when I try to simulate I get the error “option: Subscript out of range”.

Do you have any idea, how I can solve this problem in version 11.2??
Thanks in advance.

This reads like an application problem ? When we get that on our ground control system (for our spacecraft control) it typically means a calibration curve is being used to translate a value, but the curve does not cover the range of the value.

But the same model with the same simulation values runs without problems in the older OpenSuSE 's.
So what’s happening in 11.2?? Any idea??

If this is a mission critical app and it is only supported on RH then you should run it on RH.
