You’ll need to provide more information about your system - starting with
what version of openSUSE you’re using, what desktop you’re using, and
specifically what works and what doesn’t work. What kind of DVD? Data?
Video?

That will help those who are going to help you point you in a direction
that helps solve your problems.

It’s opensuse 12.2 KDE environment
I have installed VLC
DVD like the one you buy (MOVIES)

Such codecs are not able to be included by default for legal reasons, you might need the packman and libdvdcss repositories. See here: 13. Multimedia Codecs - Install Support For MP3, DVD, WMA, WMV, MOV etc.

Where did you install VLC from? The standard repos don’t include
anything that can decode CSS (the DRM on commercial DVDs), so you need to
install libdvdcss and the VLC build from the VLC repository.

If you look in the multimedia forum, there’s a sticky post by caf4926
that outlines what you need.

I solved. The problem was not in the software. Just very unlucky because I tried to work with 3 DVD but all the three from a collection and old. There fore I realized it was just dirty disc. I cleaned and It works.

Anyway just because asked i took VLC from the web site
