DVD Install

If you install with the DVD, it seems it always needs it for updates, what script or what do I need to change to auto the process to update on line?? Thanks!!

If you have other sources for the installs defined in Yast: Installation
Sources then you can go in that same place and disable the DVD install
source so it isn’t accessed anymore regardless of availability.

Good luck.

Where can I edit that file in YAST???

If you want to change the settings for your repository, do the following…

Open YaST -> Software Repositories (Software Section).

Once the repository window loads, you will have all the options to edit, create or delete repositories.

You can also view all the information you need to know about your current repos.

To add to the comments you can also make an ISO copy of the install DVD and save it somewhere on the machine.
Then disable the default DVD repository source & add a new source pointing to the ISO file. YaST will detect this is the installation source and add it as such.
This can be useful if you don’t (always) have a (good) connection to internet but want to be able to install base packages without needing the DVD by your side.

Cheers,
Wj

I like that thought. I have a DVD copy that I was tired of dragging around. I kept my original ISO file when I downloaded late last month.
