Dualscreen

How to set second screen wallpaper? I have two monitors 1680x1050. Using KDE

Hi
Right click on the screen in question and from there you should be able
to select the background settings. Plain desktop, folder view etc.

Sorry that i didn’t said exactly what I mean. So I mean one wallpaper in high resolution 3360x1050 on two desktops as one stretched wallpaper. I had previously Ubuntu and it was possible there.

This was possible on KDE 3.X, not so much on 4.x at the moment.
You could split the wallpaper in half using GIMP and then assign each piece
to a different monitor. That’s what I did. Although ironically the
wallpaper I cut in half, I had originally constructed as a large
‘dualscreen’ wallpaper because I couldn’t get KDE 3.X to assign a different
wallpaper to each screen…LOL.

Hi
Yes, create two different ones, not sure on KDE4 but you could try
enabling the Xinerama option in /etc/X11/xorg.conf which will require a
restart of the xserver.

I enabled Xinerama as well and it did not help, that’s why I suggested
cutting it in half. It may be that large dualscreen wallpaper use just
isn’t exposed in Plasma or whatever is controlling the wallpapers.

thanks guys i think that use gimp to resize & cut wallpaper is the easiest way to do this and im going to do this:)
