Hi Everyone,
We have a instrument here that is controlled by a computer running SUSE 10.3. It has an integrated Intel network card on the motherboard and a separate network card that is configured with static IP for communicating with the instrument. That card is working fine.
However, the intergrated network card is incapable of establishing a network connection via DHCP or a static IP. When plugged into the network, the LED indicators on the connection just flash in unison. The network manager applet displays that is it establising an IP address, then flashes “no device connected” and goes back and forth between the two. Everything looks fine through ifconfig. Has anyone else observed this behavior?
Thanks!
Rob
