Does anyone happen to know what has happened to Drupal PHP Content Management application in the openSUSE repositories?

If you ignore the “End Of Life” web site and examine the Drupal Release Schedule, the following should be clear:
Drupal 7 is now end of life. Supported ended on January 5, 2025.
Drupal 10.6.0 is the last minor release of Drupal 10.
Drupal 10 will reach end of life on December 9, 2026. This is either after Drupal 12 has been released or on the same week when Drupal 12 is released, depending on the scenario. No new releases of Drupal 10 will be made after this date.
Drupal 11.4.0 released. End of security support for 11.2.x and 10.5.x.
Drupal 12.0.0 and 11.5.0 released. End of security support for 11.3.x and 10.6.x.
AFAICS, Drupal is alive and well –

Yes, agreed, Drupal7 has been quietly End Of Life for 1½ years but, it only got removed from the openSUSE Software Factory a week or so ago.

Why a current Drupal version isn’t available form the PHP:Applications repository remains a mystery.
That seems like a missunderstanding on your side. SUSE does not provide any Drupal software. They use the upstream docker image of drupal. There is zero need for a local drupal package in any SUSE/openSUSE repo for this usecase.

Despite the low market share (1.73 %) of Drupal in the CMS game, it seems to have a reasonable share of high traffic volume sites «Business and Finance» – Joomla and WordPress seem to be more prevalent on low traffic volume sites.
Also, “Europa.eu” uses Drupal11 …
The mystery as to why Drupal11 and (possibly) Drupal10 are not available from the openSUSE PHP:Applications repository remains. 
I don’t understand what you want.
php:applications is community-driven.
And until recently, the only thing on Darion was Drupal 7, which had already been End-of-Life for over a year. So it was also extremely critical from a security standpoint.
That’s why it has now been removed, as is appropriate.
But that has nothing to do with SLES or any containers.
If you want Drupal, then register, build the package, submit it to php:applications, and then create a request for inclusion in Tumbleweed or Leap.
Or use a package from the “evil” home…
That’s your opinion.
Containers or kubernetes (my preference) makes sense for some of these applications. With Rancher Desktop on can spin up an instance and test, then look at deploying where ever.

You need to start reading. SUSE decided that they want to use docker images for deployment of Drupal in containers. So it is not my opinion. Reading the cited SUSE documentation might help light you up.
But that’s just her opinion—that you don’t need that in repos.
Others, however, do need it.

I hardly think so. Where does it say what SUSE wants or doesn’t want?
SUSE may have announced that it uses Docker containers itself.
But I don’t believe that either; SLES and the like always refer to Podman and the like.
But that’s irrelevant anyway. Just because you, SUSE, or I have an opinion on whether it makes sense or not doesn’t mean everyone else feels the same way. And since someone asked, there is…
Why should a company, which uses containers, additionally maintain a devel repo for a software which is readily available as image? Makes zero sense…

Either, one installs the CMS Launcher to setup a trial site or, one uses DDEV to setup for local development.
Then, you transfer your Drupal to a hosting provider – in my my ISP …
