Druckerinstallation klappt nicht mehr

Hallo,
mein HP Photosmart 5520 wurde in der Vergangenheit immer problemlos installiert.
Nun klappt das nicht mehr.
Es kommt immer ein Fehlerausdruck der Testseite.

Ich hatte es vorsorglich auch mit anderen Treibern versucht (5510), doch das klappt auch nicht.

Was mir aufgefallen ist: in Yast ist voreingestellt die Aktivierung der Ansicht der lokalen und der entfernten Druckerwarteschlangen.
Wenn ich beides aktiviert lasse, dann teilt mir Cups mit, der Drucker sei ein entfernter Drucker, was er aber nicht ist.
Wenn ich die Ansicht der entfernten Druckerwarteschlange deaktiviere, zeigt mir Cups den Drucker korrekt als lokalen Drucker an.
Finde ich verwirrend. Ist aber nicht mein wahres Problem, sondern ich schreibe es nur der Vollständigkeit halber als Beobachtung dazu.

Vielleicht könnte mir jemand helfen?
Ich würde mich sehr freuen.

Installiere hplip, falls noch nicht geschehen, und installiere den Drucker neu:
als root:

hp-setup

Das HP-Setup gelingt aber dann wird mir der Drucker nur als entfernter Drucker aufgezeigt, dabei habe ich gar kein Netzwerk und den Drucker sogar am USB-Kabel. Er taucht nicht in der Liste der lokalen Drucker auf.
Wenn ich eine Testseite ausdrucke, dann ist das ein Fehldruck.
Danach erhalte ich die Meldung, ich solle mich deswegen an den Administrator des entfernten Druckers wenden (den es ja gar nicht gibt).
Den Drucker selbst kann ich dann mit der Lösch-Taste nicht mehr löschen, sie ist nicht anklickbar.
Leider kann ich keine neue Log-Datei davon mitsenden, da ich gerade mit dem Notebook schreiben muss.

(Aus unerfindlichen Gründen kann ich mich im opensuse-Forum nicht mit dem Tumbleweed-PC einloggen, ich kriege nirgends Zugriff und soll mich an den Systemadministrator wenden…
Der PC verhält sich ohnehin merkwürdig…
Und ist so langsam schon wieder daß ich teilweise 2 Minuten warten muss, bis ein Klick umgesetzt wird…
Aber das ist ja nicht unser Thema hier.)

Wenn ich den Drucker löschen will, dann muss ich in den CUPS-Ordner in /etc rein und es dort tun und in einer Printer-Datei in /etc
Anders geht es nicht.

Ich hoffe, die Antworten sind ausreichend. Ich wollte mich auf jeden Fall rasch zurück melden als ich die Antwort hier sah.

Eben habe ich gesehen, daß man auch über die Systemeinstellungen einen Drucker installieren kann.
(Ist mir irgendwie noch nie aufgefallen dort, ich mache das immer in Yast.)
Also habe ich das versucht.
Hier konnte ich den alten Drucker löschen.
Und ihn erneut mit Erfolg installieren.
Die Testseite wurde ausgedruckt und alles war OK.

In Yast, wo ich es sonst immer mache, klappte es zuvor ja nicht.

Mein Grundproblem, den Drucker nicht installieren zu können, ist also gelöst,
Doch eben nur via Systemeinstellungen.
Via Yast gibt es Fehler.
Und ein HP-Setup war es auch nicht bei der Installation via Systemeinstellungen, denke ich mal.
