dropbox as a service / daemon ?

Hello susers,

I have installed dropbox on my system (open SUSE 11.3 x86_64 / KDE 4.4.4), and it runs fine, but only within a user session.
I would like to make it run as a daemon, not linked to a specific linux user, but… big headache, don’t understand what and how to do, nothing works! Tried a lot of scripts, check a lot of forums, drunk milk… nothing… :disapointed:
Maybe i’m too ignorant to succeed by myself, so i’m now looking for someone to help me to write a correct script before I get completely crazy! :beat-up:

I doubt you can do that. At lest without rewriting the application. You can have it start for each user by adding it to a script in their desktops start folder.
