Dropbox - anyone using it under 11.1 x64bit and kde4.2?

If so is everything working correctly? I’m having problems with folders
and files soft linked to ~/Dropbox, they are not working correctly in
the web interface as I am not getting the context menu to show for these
files.

thanks,

Not sure if this will help, apologies if not.

Create a ~/.xinitrc file with the following content:

xhost local:root
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc

Isn’t Dropbox support available only for Nautilus, the Gnome file manager?

Here’s a HowTo: “Dropbox without Gnome”.

Wow, you made my day, HeliosReds  Thanks a lot

Using KDE 11.2, and have an odd problem - dropbox only syncs when I log in, or if I stop it from the right-click menu and restart it (~/.dropbox-dist/dropboxd start).

During normal use it seems completely oblivious to changes in the folder, which rather defeats the point.

I’ve looked on the dropbox forum, and this seems to be quite common… But if anyone’s seen this and figured out a way around it, please let me know.

shot in the dark:

Right Click Dropbox Icon > Preferences > Network > check that
Bandwidth Usage has checked to enable “Automatically choose best
upload rate” or if that box it unchecked then in the “Maximum upload
rate” set “0.0”

and, while on that page: if running a proxy make sure the values are
correctly set…
