Drivers for HP DV6000 Laptop

I will be installing Linux on my HP Pavilion entertainment laptop.
I am completely new to linux, but i want to learn it and become a user of it.

My laptop is the DV6428ca

where can i download drivers, and how do i go about installing them once i have installed linux?

We can’t make a valid comment on the Ubuntu HCL based on whether a device works in openSUSE

Do read the links posted by oldcpu, it will save you a lot of misunderstandings. Linux is different from windows - much easier to use and mantain, IMO, but different.

Most drivers are included in the system, with the notable exception of proprietary video drivers for nvidia and ATI, and a few wireless network cards.

Checking out the HCL is highly recommended.
