Driver(s) for 85-Key Keyboard?

I was wondering if there are any drivers for the 85-key keyboard on my HP 2000 Notebook PC; I’m using openSUSE 13.1 KDE, and I cannot notice any selection compatible in the system settings, and I have done searches in YaST Software Management and search the internet as well, and haven’t come up with anything. Currently, this laptop is set for generic 104-key, and apparently, the ‘prt sc’ (print screen) key does not work, which is generally set for the kSnapShot utility – I went to the shortcuts in the system settings, but when I press the ‘print screen’ key to assign that key for it, it does not work, but graphic boxes show up where it should say “Print” or “PrintScreen”.

Which model HP 2000? I have a HP 2000-2c29WM, there was a user who was
having issues with print-screen and KDE (It works fine on my notebook
with GNOME, so would suspect a KDE issue)

Checked the box – it’s a “HP 2000-2b19WM Notebook PC”; really don’t understand why they don’t identify the ‘2b19WM’ part anywhere on the PC itself … just the rest of it.

Thanks for the link referral, but there was nothing there to help – I need a driver or some kind of software that will enable me to select a keyboard for this particular keyboard – the PRINT SCREEN is simply not recognized - I tried setting the shortcut for KSnapShot with other keys, Ctrl, Alt, and Meta + PrintScreen, and where the word PrintScreen should appear, three solid square blocks plus a little opened boxed square appears instead.

You might consider testing the keyboard combination (fn+ prt sc) with the ‘xev’ utility. (You may need to install the ‘xev’ package first.) Start it in a terminal, then observe the output from various combinations.

For reference, I get the following after pressing fn + prt sc

Your input in greatly appreciated. I executed xev and tested both the “Fn+prt sc” and “prt sc” keys have the same results:

I’m not at home for several days, thus, I have my Laptop with me – now, I had this same problem with the desktop at home when I bought a new keyboard and changed the “Keyboard Model” for my new 107-key keyboard in the system settings to Generic 105-key (since there was no “107”), but after I changed the keyboard model to Generic 104-key, the PRINT key worked as a shortcut. So that is why I feel it has something to do with particular keyboard driver (none on the list of pre-installed keyboard layouts “seem” to be compatible with this keyboard) – I probably should note I’m referring to “Configure Desktop” → “Input Devices” → “Keyboard” → “Hardware” (Tab) → “Keyboard Model”.

I did read the posts in thread and nothing there helped, and I have googled different words and phrases to see what I can turn up and did not find a solution, but did notice other people with an 85-Key Keyboard is facing the very same issue. Anway, for the time being, I have set to shortcut for ksnapshot to “Meta+Shift+P”, since that sequence of keys wasn’t used for anything anyway (that I know of). When going to HP Support for drivers, it refers Linux users to kernel,org, but I didn’t know how I could find any keyboard drivers there.
