I am searching for a driver for HP Deskjet 895cxi or an generic driver
If you install hplip, you should be able to use the 895c driver. HP is very good at supplying drivers for its machines to Linux distros. So I would assume the 895c is all you need.
How can I get hplip
Johannes Fangmeyer
have you tried HP it is their stuff??
zypper in hplip
in a terminal console should do it.
I installed it, but the Programm found no Devices. The Printer is connected with USB
Which program are you referring to? After you installed ‘hplip’, did you try configuring with ‘hp-setup’?
su -c hp-setup
The hp-setup programm found no devices. The printer qas switched on on USB
When the printer is first connected, what is reported by the following?
lsusb
dmesg|tail
It Reported the follow:

Your printer does not show up in the lsusb output as expected, and you did mention that it was connected to a USB port. Now, I happened to notice the Prolific USB-parallel port adapter listed. Is your printer actually connected via a parallel port?
Further to the above, if your printer is actually connected to the parallel port adapter, then the ‘parallel-printer-support’ package may need to be installed first.
My printer is not connected with the parallel port. It is connected with the USB port. My Laptop has no parallel port
Then the cable or usb interface is faulty. It is not being enumerated by lsusb as expected. You need to investigate this further before this can be progressed.
With regards to the parallel port, this was reported as attached
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 067b:2305 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2305 Parallel Port
In any case, it can be disregarded since you have confirmed that the printer is using usb connectivity.
I bought an new printer-cable. But it does not work. even when I tried the parallel port. I started a self-Test printing and it works. I estimate the printer I/O is defect.
So I buy a new printer
I bought an new Printer HP Pro 8100. But it does not work. The hp-setup found no device. It is an new printer an a new Computer. At USB is a mouse. It works even at the printer USB.
What can I do?
As before, start by showing us how it is reported by the kernel
When first plugged in (and turned on) run the following command (be careful with typos)
dmesg|tail
It might also be useful to check the state of the installation with respect to HPLIP (and any problematic/missing dependencies). For that, run the following as regular user
hp-doctor
It will prompt for root password when needed.
I made it, it runs, but the printer is still not recognized. I made what by hplip is pronounced. I got the user management and added my user to the group lp. But it does not run.
I got the printer run. It was the false connection with usb an an another Driver. Thanks
