Is there any application by which I can monitor the bandwidth usage of each applications?.
Reason is, some appication is doing upload at high speeds so that my download speed is getting affected badly. I registered a complaint against my provider saying the download speed is very slow and when they checked, they pointed out that upload is happening at high speeds and it is because of this, the speed is slow. I was using ktorrent, vuze and jDownloader together at that time. I limited the upload speed of both ktorrent and vuze to 1 KB and still it was happening. I am not sure which program is doing the upload. When I connected my friend’s system, it was downloading at maximum speed.
I need to check it tomorrow. Anyways, If there is any software to monitor this, it will be helpful.

ntop http://www.ntop.org/overview.html
etherape http://etherape.sourceforge.net/
openSuse 11.1 x64bit, KDE4.x Factory, Opera

Both of them didn’t work becauseof some bugs. Yesterday, I cosed every torrent applications and was checking with only jDownloader. Still the speed is slow. When I tried the same link in Windows, download is happening at high speeds. Any particular reason behind this? Thing is I am not able to monitor the total bandwidth usage.
Runs in the console, curses interface. Will show total up / down bandwith being used and you can see all ports that are connected, as well as filter by tcp / udp, etc.
