Double mouse pointer when at rest

Can confirm that selecting “Prefer efficiency” over “Prefer color accuracy” solves this issue. This is tested on the most recent 20250522.

I had rolled back to an earlier build (20250508), but i don’t see any significant bugs here except for that one, so I will stick to this for now.

Yeah, same here. I had tried toggling HDR on and off before to see if that made any difference, but skipped this setting. Good to know for now.

I already have my settings set to “Prefer efficiency” on the color accuracy setting as it solved a previous issue I had with white lines appearing on the desktop at times, so this toggle did nothing for me sadly. I did however discover that if I lower my refresh rate from my native 144hz to 120hz, the bug disappears.

I’m in a similar boat. I’ve tried all the other toggles and settings mentioned here, color settings, vrr, scaling, none of it works. However if I lower the refresh rate of my faster monitor from 144fps to 60fps (matching my slower secondary monitor) the issue goes away. Similarly, the issue goes away when I outright disable the second monitor. Also the issue is only ever present on the main monitor.

Another important thing to mention (and it’s very obviously linked to the double cursor) I get a horrible flicker covering the screen everywhere below wherever the mouse pointer is doubled and it seems to be covering the screen in whatever color happens to be just below the mouse pointer. This occurs only when the mouse pointer bug is seen.

After yesterday’s update for Tumbleweed, this issue has been fixed for me

Can confirm as well, but in case you want to keep it at “prefer color accuracy”, you can also put the PC to sleep and wake it up again.
