I am new to Open Suse (12.3) though not totally unfamiliar. I decided I would like to play a few old fashioned games. started doomsday and tried to load all of the games listed (one at a time!lol!) . No game would load, they also told me something was missing, wad or pkg files. When I use yast software manager to locate them it tells me i either have these files or it can’t find them. Am I missing something trivial or is there a load more work needs doing before I can play?? Any pointers appreciated.
In a lot of cases one needs (at least one of) the original game’s wad files. The doomsday launcher states this clearly on top of the screen. You could have a look at freedoom
