I am a beginner to linux and I could use your help. Does the server-client connection exists in suse 11.2 desktop and suse enterpise server 11, like in windows domain (the client connects to the domain-active directory-outlook-exchange). I want my suse 11.2 desktop to connect to my suse server and download my emails through postfix. How can I achieve that?

Your SLES-11 is accepting mail from the internet with postfix - correct? And you want to read that mail on your 11.2 desktop?
On the server configure xinetd with qpopper. Enable port 110 for the LAN side. And on the desktop use fetchmail to pull the mail over. And: welcome to the forum.
