Dolphin "Open with Install Software"

I recently downloaded Skype for SUSE 11.1 and there instructions were to use Dolphin, select the rpm file and “Open with Install Software” Is Dolphin doing anything special and what is the CLI commands to do the same if I didn’t want to mess with Dolphin?

The command is;

sudo rpm -Uhv <name_of_rpm>
