Unfortunately this topic

I’m using Plasma 5 and it happened to me after changing the fonts on System Settings, bigger and of alternate type.
So this might just be related.
It just cant display that dialogue window. It is there you just cant see it, as it will compress to the .zip option when you hit enter. Then Dolphin is responsive again.
Solved by creating a Minimum-Size window rule (666x333px).
Got to the dialogue window show by using the Invert desktop effect on the Dolphin window
then on the top left item on Icon View
right click > compress to
Maybe open an empty Ark once before.
No reboot was needed.
