I’ve been using it successfully for the past week or so, (after a minor bug was resolved).
1- Should I add those repo’s? I use plasma and have KDE on my machines(I think).
2- Is there a downside to a novice like myself?

Nothing there you ‘should do’. But if you thing this would improve your current setup, this part is relevant for Leap 15.1

Hi Bill. I use the KDE repos for a more updated desktop environment. This just relates to recent discovery functionality, that you may (or may not) require.
