Just installed 11.3 and upgraded kde to 4.5.
Install is on Toshiba notebook with Win7 and Mepis 8.5.
Ntfs and all other partitions show in fstab and partition manager but not in Dolphin or Konqueror.
How to see and mount other partitions?

Hi,
could you show us the result of “fdisk -l” (a lower case L) and the content of your /etc/fstab file?
Lenwolf
In a terminal do:
cat /etc/fstab
and then as su -
fdisk -l

Partition table entries are not in disk order
Your fstab entry for windows/C is correct
Navigate to /windows/C
In your file tree in Dolphin - are you telling me you can’t see this?
If you want it in “Places” in Dolphin, do as Caf says, then drag the folder “C” to “Places” and you will be able to access it from there.
Also to check: start Konqueror, enter
sysinfo:/
in the location bar. You’ll see all your partitions, incl. the windu ones.
Cant see it. Places only shows hd icons with size for opensuse root and home partitions.
click on root, then click windows then you should see ‘C’
how to drag what you cant see?
I did you a little video
It shows going to Panels - where you might need to go if you don’t already have the Folders View, then scroll down to ‘w’ where windows is, you need to clickk on windows to get to C
Mine is just windows without the C
You then drag the C to ‘Places’
Great help, thanks.
That fixed the problem.
I keep music collection on C and use amarok. Amarok apparently had difficulty reading collection but finally got it after several tries.
You are welcome - enjoy…
And the winner of this years openOskar is … caf4926 !! Brilliant.
We push the boundaries of the expected here at openSUSE
Just want to add something to Gnome users, the same method can be done as above by drag and drop to the ‘places’ in Nautilus.
