I feel more at home using Konqueror for many things. It’s as old as the KDE. In the past few years, Dolphin has been the file system browser advertised in the KDE task manager panel of OS. It works OK for most things, and has some superior features. One of those features is the display of available storage partitions, with the option to mount them by clicking the icon.
For example, the original Gateway Win7 install is on /dev/sda3, I click the icon, and I am prompted for the root password. I can then access the file system on that partition using any application, such as the command prompt or Konqueror. It mounts as /var/run/media/hattons/Gateway.
Is there a way to do the same thing using Konqueror?
What Dolphin doesn’t do is act as a web browser.
