Tumbleweed supports Vega graphics.
Is your VEGA 8 an integrated video?
If so, you need open Mesa 3D drivers, because AMD don’t provide AMDGPU drivers to intgrated video.

Hi
Yes they do… I have multiple laptops with APU’s running amdgpu (single and dual graphics apu’s)…

Vega should be working fine, might need to add the amdgpu.ngg=1 kernel boot option.

No driver to download for Linux, only Win 10: https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-3-desktop-processors-radeon-vega-graphics/amd-ryzen-3-0

Hi
But that’s the propitiatory driver (amdgpu-pro), I don’t use it… the oss driver should be fine.

I did try setup Vega 8 in OpenSuse
by default it try to launch amdgpu for it and fail
il try remove amdgpu and try mesa

I also have problem with Tumbleweed and amdgpu. Running Ryzen 2200G.

Don’t know the exact kernel version that it stopped working, but I needed to boot with 5.4.7 to have amdgpu loaded successfully during boot.

Tried 5.4.10, 5.4.12, 5.4.13, and 5.4.14. All can’t load amdgpu at boot and hangs at “fb0: switching to amdgpudrmfb from EFI VGA”
