docbook

There must be a command that simply displays a properly formatted docbook - but what is it? Using Konq or Firefox simply crashes them (even after Firefox has installed - what it feels - are the necessary add-ons). Using Cat, Less, AbiWord or LOWriter enable me to see the text but you also get all the formatting guff. I’m looking for something like Okular or Man.

Any Ideas?

This editor should do what you want http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/
but it is not free (for personal use it is free of charge).
Maybe someone knows something similar as open source.
