I installed an nVideo card (model GeForce GT 430) in my desktop about a week ago and a few days later noticed a new hidden directory in my home folder called *.nv *Here’s a partial listing of what it holds

Does anyone know if these files are created by the nVidia card and, if yes, what they are?
Thanks in advance for any info.
I am not sure what the entries in the .nv folder are in particular, but they don’t come from the graphics card, nor from the closed source nVidia driver. My PC has an nVidia card as well and I don’t have such a folder, though I’ve seen it before on a couple of distributions (Fedora, openSUSE, Ubuntu, etc.).
However, before nouveau, the open-source nVidia driver used to be called nv and X11 still tries to load it when launching the graphical user interface. Maybe it’s some logs, who knows :). Regardless, I wouldn’t worry about this folder.
