Do I need GVFS?

Process /usr/lib64/gvfs/gvfs-gdu-volume-monitor eats a lot of my CPU, almost about 10%, which is quite a lot for program I don’t actually know anything about. I found on wiki that it should be a replacement for GnomeVFS and it allows mounting virtual filesystems via fuse. But I’m using KDE, so why do I need part of Gnome? And what is then purpose of KIO in KDE?

System: openSUSE 11.2, amd64, KDE 4.3.3

Anyone?

You can always try killing it and see what breaks.
