Hello,
My Computer -> sysinfo:/ gives the following:
OS: Linux 3.4.6-1.1-desktop
System: openSUSE 12.2
KDE: 4.8.4 “release 2”
Do I have openSUSE 12.2 RC2?
Is there a command that I can use to confirm the answer to the above question?
Thanks in advance.
I’m still downloading, so I can’t compare. The KDE version you show is the same as on RC1.
sysinfo won’t say “RC2”. That’s because it is a release candidate. You would not want the final release to say “RC2”, and therefore a release candidate also should not say that.
The DVD iso that I am downloading says it is Build0091.
I would say if you have kept up with updates it would be the same as reinstalling with rc2 iso. That is my impression from using it in virtualbox (but I could be wrong as I am a suse newbie)

I believe you do, RC1 had kernel 3.4.4, RC2 has the kernel version you
pasted.
