Hello, just to warn you I am VERY new to all this Linux malarky.
I just purchased a Dlink DWL-G122 usb stick for my laptop because it says “Linux support” on the box. This was clearly a lie!
I’ve tried following advice given to other people with this card, but I just ended up confused. So I found the “Network Settings” thing in YaST2, and attempted to configure the device. But then I was told I need firmware, and to go find this before continuing. This threw me. Where do I get this from?
If someone could give me some advice/instructions on how to get this thing working, in the language of a simpleton, I would be grateful. Or, would I just be better off taking it back and getting another card that is known to work out the box in Suse.
Now for all the stuff that’s asked for in the welcome guide thing:
/usr/bin/lsusb gives:

sudo /usr/sbin/iwlist scan gives:

I’m running opensuse11, which apparently has kernel 2.6.25.16-0.1-pae i686, with KDE 4.0.4. If that helps at all.
Sorry for the nooby nature of this post, but I’m a noob!!
