I found this site over a magazine and i have to say, its quite nice.
From what i have seen, it follows open standards and welcomes contributors. What stands out, i think, are the videos which explain the material quite well.
So at least i can learn something too.

Something somewhat similar is the Open Courseware project at
www.ocwconsortium.org - there’s a very large list of organizations
(including Novell and MIT) who are members and make materials available
for free on a number of subjects.

Well, this site i mentioned provides everything. From basic to expert.
And the unique thing is, that it is presented by one person. I watched a couple of videos (algebra) and was impressed. Not saying its the only thing there out there, but it is certainly quite good. Plus you can test yourself.

Oh, yes, I have heard of Khan Academy before, just pointing out other
similar materials. Looks like most of MIT’s courses are available, for
example (of course, you don’t get the books), through the OCW project.

Oh yes. Understood. It just seemed to me a little to professional. But its a good thing in any way. And as long it is kind of open, the better.

Well, there is something to be said for professional learning
institutions as well. Though Khan has done very well - saw an interview
with him on The Colbert Report the other day, very interesting interview,
and one of the interesting things he talked about was keeping the
segments to 10 minutes - something that professional learning
professionals are looking at as well.
