DisplayLink 3100/Dell D3100

The above docking station has a driver for Ubuntu 20.04, Ubuntu 22.04 (https://www.synaptics.com/products/displaylink-graphics/downloads/ubuntu). Has anybody tested this driver for Leap by any chance? Are there drivers available somewhere else? Thanks!

Maybe this one:

Sorry, I had not read the whole thing… This is great, but requires expertise which, at this point in time, I don’t have. Have you heard of anyone walking this walk by any chance? Thanks!

I am also using this software, on 15.4 with a Dell D3100, and it worked until last week. There were some DisplayLink upgrades (currently on 5.6.1-lp154.7.1), and now my external monitor isn’t recognised anymore. lsusb:

but no monitor… If somebody has any clues I’d be much obliged!

Read this primer, then have inxi -G report to you which display driver you are using, then try switching to the other: either from modesetting to intel, or vice versa. Just a shot in the dark.
