If the model is not in the list, just select LCD–>> and the appropriate res. In Yast hardware monitor and graphics

thanks for ur reply. but my problem is that , my monitor doesn’t show the full screen. there is some blank screen space on each corner of the monitor.( i mean top,bottem & left,right).plz give me the good suggestion.

Tell us your dimensions - eg: 1280x800

What is it set to in Yast - Hardware - Graphics and Monitor?

At the time of installation it started with 800X600. After installed it automatically adjusted to 1024X600.

NO. What should it be?

You say 17" - But we don’t know if it’s widescreen?
There should be a recommended setting
1024x768 might be it if you don’t have widescreen.
