I have about 8000 music files and thus a lot of artists in my amarok collection. In amarok itself, I don’t have a ‘various artists’ artist which groups several artists. But when I transfer my collection to ipod, some artists are grouped under various artists. How can I disable this? I want the original artists set under the artist list in ipod.
Don’t have an ipod so can’t help - was attracted by your title, as I’d love to be able to “disable various artists” and didn’t know Amarok could do that 
I have found it:). In the collection tab you have to navigate to the albums, and right click on the albums. There you can enable/disable. It is weird it doesn’t appear when you right click an artist or a title, only album…
