Disable PC Beep?

Hello,

IS there a way to disable the PC beep? In my mixer settings it’s volume is at 0, but still whenever I do something “wrong” it beeps at me so loud that I get a heart attack… (My professors reaction was also not nice when my laptop began beeping wildly in the middle of the class…)

PS: In addition how can I disable the same beep from GRUB?

Which version of openSUSE are you using? Also which DE and where are the beeps coming from (a console session or also applications in X?)
