what is that? i know openSUSE 11.4 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
(SLES) version 11 SP-something, but “suse LES 11.4” i’m not at all
familiar with…

hmmmm…i know how hide that output behind a graphical screen…but
that is the default as far as i know for all openSUSE versions…

to change from default and SHOW the output it you just add
“splash=verbose” to the boot kernel command line parameter…

the default is “splash=quiet” which hides the output…so, maybe yours
somehow got switched from hidden to not… ??

i have no idea how to completely suppress it (and not have to hide it)…

Hi
You need to edit the /etc/inittab file to remove the --noclear option
from tty1, this will just leave a login prompt.
