Direct Install from Live CD

How can I initiate Install from the Live CD from boot before going into the desktop. I went throught the “F1” Help prompts upon boot but that didn’t do the trick.

For some reason I am unable to boot the KDE or Enlightenment spin Live CDs. Gnome boots fine, but can’t do KDE or Enlightenment spin (preferred).

The CD images are not corrupted. It just has something to do with the PC (Dell D600, ATI RV250 LF video card).

Thanks.

you don’t…you must go to the full up GUI and then click the install
icon…

on the other hand, you do install from boot with the DVD…

or, you could use the network install…

however, if the Live CD will not run easily because of your hardware,
then an install from any media will most likely result in a black
screen that you will have to deal with…use the search function of
this forum too seek advice advice in tweaks to overcome the black
screen, see: http://forums.opensuse.org/search.php?searchid=1231097

in fact, with some searching you might find a way to get the Live CD
to come up correctly…

-welcome- it will take some patience to get that ATI working, but i
think it is possible…read some here:

This doesn’t always work but you could try changing the video mode before selecting the Live CD option.
