Digikam crash - opensuse 12.3 (KDE)

Hi Folks,

I hope you can help - I’m not really very good with solving problems like this - I have searched about for a solution to this problem but I don’t understand the answers I’ve found so far. I’m confused.

I have recently installed opensuse 12.3 64 bit version with the KDE desktop

Digikam 3.0.0-1.2.1 is installed

When I start digikam it crashes.

Starting the application on a fresh system => no digikam4.db thumbnails-digikam.db files in the Pictures directory and ~/.kde4/share/config.digikamrc removed produces this output in the terminal

What should I do next to try and solve this problem?

This is a known problem that is already fixed. You could just wait for the online update, which should be available in the next few days…

If you don’t want to wait, you would have to install digikam from a different repo, as mentioned in the other threads.
Please ask if you want to do that, and I will tell you the exact steps you have to take…

Thanks for your reply - if the solution will magically appear in the next few days I’ll wait!

I’ve tried to find the different repository as mentioned in other threads but it doesn’t seem to be available via the yast GUI.

Anyway thanks again - I’ll wait for a few days - there’s no rush.
