Difference between the 'Factory' and 'Version-specific' repo

What is the difference between the ‘Factory’ and ‘Version- specific’ repos ?
For example, on KDE Repo’s Page (KDE/Repositories - openSUSE) page, what would be difference between:
KDE Core Packages-Version Factory
(Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_Factory) , and
KDE Core Packages-Version 11.1
(Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_11.1)

Factory includes the latest updates, not necessarily from an official release, some of which may not be completely stable.

We have releases and the factory version. Read about it:
http://en.opensuse.org/Released_Version
http://en.opensuse.org/Factory

The different build service repositories are built against the version
designated in the path and should be used with the correct version.
