does anybody use this program just recently it is asking for mplayer says it isn’t installed but i do have mplayer installed
i tried deleting and reinstalling all programs associated with mplayer and devede with no luck
any ideas?
Is this from program startup or at some point further down the line of preparing a dvd? I have no issues.
What version are you using of devede and mplayer, they should both be from packman.
devede launches ok on my openSUSE-10.3 PC. I have installed
- devede-3.11b-0.pm.1
*]MPlayer-1.0rc2_r27637-2.pm.1
it is from startup
and i have the same versions as oldcpu
hmm this is so oddhttp://thumbnails5.imagebam.com/1621/74e71216201229.gif](http://www.imagebam.com/image/74e71216201229)
mplayer??
zypper se -r packman
*N.B. (spelling of packman needs to be the same as your naming of the repo - In mine it’s Packman not packman)
One speculative possibility is this could be a problem with path. … Have you been “playing” with the path? … or were you logging in as user root (and possibly messed up your path that way)? Have you rebooted recently?
Can you launch mplayer normally?
mines the same way its Packman not packman
and as far as mplayer not being Mplayer your guess is as good as mine
Didnt see your post must have posted at same time or im just blind lol
no i don’t mess with paths or anything of the such
never have logged in as root well ok one time long time ago :
and i just checked mplayer and guess what it don’t start even right clicking on a movie and telling it to open with mplayer no go
well i just tryed mplayer from konsole here is the error mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libcucul.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Well this seems to have been solved thanks for the replys
i found this post here on the forums libcucul.so.0 - openSUSE Forums
and did a search in yast for libcaca and there was an update for it why zypper don’t or didn’t pick it up is beyond me or the suseupdater
but i updated it and everything is working now
and thanks for the replys again back in business:\
This is a known bug. See this thread here on it:
mplayer error with latest libcaca0 - openSUSE Forums
You have two choices. Either force a libcaca0 re-install with:
su -c ‘zypper in -f libcaca0’
or alternatively re-install libcaca0 and it should be downgraded to an older version.
Once libcaca0 is re-installed (with downgraded version, or forced re-install) it should work.
stop posting at the same time i do dang it rotfl!
but thanks for the post
